How do I submit a proposal for consideration?

How should I prepare my manuscript for production?
See formatting guidelines.
How long does the production process take?
What is the author's role in the production process?
Lexington is proud of its tight production schedules: the timetable
from delivery of formatted manuscript to finished book is usually
about six months.
Your book will be assigned to a production editor who will work with you
to ensure quality and consistency of format and style. Your editor will
mark the manuscript for errors of format and style to the text and index,
and return the affected pages to you for correction. When you return the
corrected pages, the editor will perform a thorough check to ensure that
all corrections have been made. The camera-ready manuscript is then ready
for the printer. Expect printing to take six to eight weeks.
In what format are Lexington books published?
Most Lexington titles are published in attractive hard cover editions
with the library market in mind. University libraries will purchase
these editions and make them widely available to students and
scholars.
Lexington Books does issue a select number of titles in paperback.
The decision to release a book in a paperback edition depends on
several factors including reviewers’ comments, market assessment,
and demonstrated appeal—through exam copy requests, level of
interest at conferences, etc.—for supplemental course adoption.
How does Lexington Books promote its titles?

Where are Lexington titles available?

world purchase Lexington titles, and Lexington books are available to
university bookstores through established academic marketing
channels. Select titles are available in larger bookstores, but
individual buyers will always be able to find Lexington books on the
Internet. All books are available for sale
